PAPERNOTFOIL allows you to be creative with speed and because it is a chalk like texture, it grips well to the hair without having to fold over your comb first, or fold into parcels. See how you can adopt this into your normal hair coloring routine below.
1. CUT PAPER TO SIZE
This is a crucial step in making the service faster and easier.
2. SECTION HAIR
3. POSITION PAPER WHERE HAIR IS TO BE COLORED
4. REST HAIR TO BE COLORED ONTO PAPER
5. APPLY COLOR GENEROUSLY TO HAIR AND PAPER
You’ll notice that the chalk-like texture of the paper helps the hair and color to grip better than foil, eliminating the need to fold over your comb and create a parcel.
6. FOLD PAPER IN HALF AND PRESS TOGETHER.
This is where cutting to size and the unique texture of PAPERNOTFOIL pays off, it will literally stick together making application time so much faster (and prettier).
7. DEVELOP COLOR TO MANUFACTURERS’ INSTRUCTIONS
Thorough testing has shown little to no difference in lift as it is still a thermal paper and conducts heat, but limits chemical reaction from metal and tin/bleach.
8. TO REMOVE – SLIDE OUT AND RINSE
Just like you’re used to, a gentle tug and it’s out.
9. WASH & REUSE OR RECYCLE
Paper can be re-used once and is easy to rinse at the basin, pat dry for small amounts or for large amounts place in washing machine with a few towels on gentle wash, pat dry and use again. Paper does look a bit worn after washing but the sustainability aspect outweighs the wear and tear.
